Frequently asked questions.
-
I provide therapy exclusively through secure telehealth sessions. This means you can meet with me from the comfort of your own home (or wherever feels best), as long as you’re located anywhere in the state of Illinois.
-
I work with a wide range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults. My practice is affirming and welcoming to neurodivergent individuals, Highly Sensitive Persons (HSPs), and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as those who are kinky, non-monogamous, or identity-questioning. I also support people navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance misuse, burnout, body image concerns, and relationship struggles.
In addition, I work with parents on co-parenting concerns and challenges, provide consultation and support to other therapists, and conduct psychosocial evaluations for immigration cases, reproductive health (IVF, IUI, surrogacy), Emotional Support Animals (ESAs), and gender confirmation surgery.
-
All sessions are scheduled online through a secure client portal. Once we decide to work together, you’ll receive access to the portal where you can view my availability and book appointments at times that work best for you. Sessions are held virtually, so you can join from anywhere in Illinois.
If you’re interested in becoming a new client, you can schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation using my Contact Form (just click “Book Now” in the top right corner above).

My fees range from $140–$180 per session, with initial evaluations billed at $225. I also keep a few reduced-fee (sliding scale) spots available for those who need them. Payment is made at the time of each session, and I’ll provide you with a monthly Superbill you can submit to your insurance if you’d like to seek out-of-network reimbursement.
-
I do not accept insurance directly. All sessions are self-pay at the time of service. However, I provide a monthly Superbill—a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company if you’d like to request out-of-network reimbursement.
Many clients are able to get a large part of their costs covered this way, but coverage varies by plan, so it’s best to check with your insurance provider directly about your specific out-of-network benefits.
-
If you cancel a session with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not attend, you will be billed (either $140 or your scheduled session fee, whichever is less), unless we both agree the situation truly could not have been avoided.
When possible, I’ll do my best to reschedule your appointment instead of charging the fee—but please note that this isn’t always guaranteed. If I’m unable to accommodate a reschedule within that short notice window, you’ll need to either attend your original appointment or you will be billed as outlined above.
-
All sessions are held through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform—no downloads required. You’ll log in through your client portal using any device with an internet connection and simply click a link to join your session.
About 24 hours before each appointment, you’ll receive an email or text reminder (you choose your preference) with the session link. Many clients also bookmark the portal for easy access to scheduling, session links, billing, and payment.
-
Please complete all intake paperwork in your secure client portal before our first meeting. If it isn’t finished ahead of time, we may need to reschedule to give you more space to complete it.
In our first session, we’ll spend some time getting to know each other, reviewing policies, and talking through what brings you to therapy. From there, we’ll begin shaping your goals together.
It can be helpful to jot down any questions you have, as well as any important topics you’d like to explore. Most importantly, just bring yourself as you are—your thoughts, feelings, and curiosities are all welcome!
